Privacy notice — BLOCKFIRE

This notice covers blockfire.gg, the BLOCKFIRE playtest signup site run by the BLOCKFIRE team. It explains what happens when you join the playtest list, and what happens to your address when your invite arrives.

What we collect

When you join the list, we store exactly three things:

your email address (lowercased, so it's only stored once);
the date and time you first signed up (UTC);
whether — and when — you ticked the box to get BLOCKFIRE news and development updates.

That's it. We don't ask for your name, age or location. Joining the list on its own doesn't create a BLOCKFIRE account.

Why

To invite you to playtests and let you set up your account from that invite. If you ticked the updates box, we may also email you BLOCKFIRE news and development updates. Nothing else.

How it's handled

Storage. Signups are saved in a Cloudflare D1 database operated for this site.
The playtest waitlist. Every few minutes, new signups (the same three items above) are passed to the BLOCKFIRE account platform at platform.blockfire.gg, which we also operate. It keeps the playtest waitlist, records when you were invited and whether you claimed your invite, and sends the invitations.
Bot protection. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a real browser is submitting it. Turnstile may process technical information such as your IP address and browser signals to do that, under Cloudflare's own privacy policy. We only receive a pass/fail result.
Abuse limits. Your IP address is used momentarily to limit repeated submissions. We don't store it.
Logs. Our signup code does not log email addresses, security tokens, IP addresses or form contents.
Visit statistics. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits to this site: pages viewed, the site that referred you, general browser, device and country information, and page-load performance. It doesn't use cookies or local storage and doesn't identify or follow individual visitors; we only see totals. It is never linked to the email address you give us.
No advertising. This site has no ads, advertising trackers or tracking cookies.

Sharing

We don't sell or rent your email address. We share it only with the providers that run these services for us:

Cloudflare hosts this site and its signup database.
DigitalOcean hosts the account platform and its waitlist.
Resend delivers our emails, including your invitation. It receives your address only to deliver them.

How long we keep it

Until you ask us to remove it, or until the playtest program ends and we no longer need it. If you claim your invite, your account keeps your email for as long as the account exists.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete what we hold about you at any time. A deletion request removes your address from both the signup list and the platform's waitlist. Every update email will include a way to unsubscribe.

Player accounts

Your playtest invite contains a one-time link to platform.blockfire.gg. An account is created only when you open that link and claim it: you choose a callsign and a password, and your invite confirms your email address. The account then holds your career progress, weapon stats and match history, and gives you the game download. If you never claim your invite, no account is created.

Children

BLOCKFIRE's playtests are not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their email addresses.

Changes

If this notice changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
